NEW Keenan SafeSchools Course: IPM for Teachers and Office Staff
Pesticides are unique among toxic substances because they’re designed to kill or control pests like bugs, rodents and germs. There’s an inherent risk when they’re released into the environment, and using pesticides improperly in a school setting increases children’s risk for illness or injury.
For teachers, office and classroom staff, the new 20-minute IPM for Teachers and Office Staff course is designed to review the Healthy Schools Act and best practices for integrated pest management (IPM). Topics covered include the details of the Healthy Schools Act, IPM and the indoor school environment, and how to properly use antimicrobial pesticides. This course has been approved by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation.
