Workers’ Compensation

Coverage for Workers Compensation and Employer’s Liability is provided through NCSIG’s membership in the Protected Insurance Program for Schools (PIPS) JPA. Dollar-one claims handling is provided to PIPS members through a contract with Keenan and Associates. For information on your claim, please contact Keenan directly at 707-268-1616.

Student Accident Insurance

This program provides coverage for all student injuries that occur during the hours and days when school is in session and while attending or participating in school sponsored and supervised activities on or off school premises, whether or not school is in session. This coverage includes all school-sponsored interscholastic sports, including tackle football for PreK-12 districts. The coverage provides up to a $25,000 benefit maximum, with $0 deductible. There is a one-year benefit period from date of injury.  Claim forms are available in each District office.

Transportation Safety

Every day, student transportation specialists are responsible for navigating our children safely from home to school and back, as well as on special assignment for field trips, sporting events and more.  Our student’s safety and well-being is paramount for our drivers, who are there to make sure no harm comes to them.  All school bus and associated student transportation specialists are subject to the strictest of State and/or Federal requirements for training, vehicle inspections and more.
